Days in the life of a seminarian/musician/photographer/human male.

If Love…

I know of love that won’t weary or tire,

that wipes away the tears of the crier;

with Love at the door how could I deny her?

If love is not real, then what do I desire?

-

They say my hopes are by fools inspired,

that all loves pass and perish in fire,

and all will be lost in the muck and the mire.

But if love doesn’t last, what do I desire?

-

They laugh; ‘love is naught but feelings for hire,

loosed and lost at the hands of the buyers.

love is not found, it is only acquired.’

But if love isn’t true, what do I desire?

-

When each day finds the rising star,

And deep wounds that we held leave only a scar;

when it burns on the heart and the lips and the lungs

with a force and fury that’s only begun,

who could say that the Lover’s a liar?

There must be Love, for I know the desire.
